On the edge of the Lac Léman

As the headquarters of more than 200 international organisations including the Red Cross, the World Health Organisation and the European office of the United Nations, Geneva is still a peaceful town in an exceptional setting, as shows the view from the Salève summit on the town and the lake with fountain (accessible by cable car). The old town centre of Geneva holds a great number of monuments, marked by Protestantism, like the Saint Pierre cathedral. The town also offers exceptional art collections in the museums.
